Maimonides II

For students who have already been Maimonides Leaders Fellows, get ready to step it up to the next level with MLFII: the in-depth sequel.

Maimonides II offers the opportunity to engage in deeper, text-based learning at a higher level than the initial Maimonides program. The weekly schedule is a bit more varied; each student completes a minimum number of semester hours in the program by tailoring his or her personal learning experience to specific interests, questions, and topics. Through an exciting and thought-provoking combination of classes, speakers, engaging discussions, one on one learning, Shabbatons, field trips and more, there is definitely something for everyone within the MLFII framework. Each campus works to modify the MLFII curriculum to the interests and desires of the students involved. This offers the flexibility to pursue the aspects of Jewish knowledge and experiences that you desire most, with the friends and staff you already know and love.

Students who complete the Maimonides II program are eligible for free round-trip airfare to Israel for any approved 3-week learning program, plus a $250.00 stipend.

If you’re ready to continue your journey in Jewish learning, then please join us this semester for great insights, spiritual uplift, and nourishment for your body and soul.

  • “It's funny because when you do Maimonides I you think, “wow this is such a special group of people! I'm so glad I did this this quarter!” and then you do Maimonides II and realize it was not just your group; the whole program consistently attracts amazing quality thoughtful people you really want to get to know, and the topics only get more interesting and deep.”

  • Taking the Maimonides II class builds on the foundations that are laid for Jewish scholarship in Maimonides I. In Maimonides II, you really get the chance to examine torah and oral law closely in order to arrive at the essence of things. Overall a very enriching experience that illuminates many aspects of Judaism, the Maimonides II program gives you the tools to grapple with some of Judaism's most complex issues.
